Crying on the first day? It's normal, parents!
It's completely normal for kindergarten children to feel nervous or upset on their first day of school. Separation anxiety is a natural part of the process.
Many children may cry or feel uncertain about being away from home, but this is a common reaction, and you’re not alone. Often, when one child cries, others may follow as they adjust to this new experience together.
The good news is that this phase doesn’t last long. Within a few days to a week, as children get used to their new routines and surroundings, the tears will fade. Their confidence will grow, and they’ll soon be excited about school.
Your support and positive encouragement are key in helping them adjust. It’s okay for them to feel anxious, but with your reassurance, they’ll feel safe and ready to thrive.
